Daniel Wetzel is a Manager at RMI’s Beijing office. Dan is focused on projects in the Electricity and Communities practice. Dan joined RMI in September 2013.
Dan works on the Emerging Technology initiative that investigates integration strategies for new and maturing technologies for the electricity provision system. The focus of this integration is developing new functionality on the operational and market layers of the grid. He also assists in model development for the RMI Communities practice, helping with feasibility and visioning assessments for both Fort Collins and China.
Prior to joining RMI, Dan was a formulation scientist with Reckitt Benckiser working on green product development and rolling-out internal sustainability programs across all global business units. Dan also worked for RTI Surgical (previously RTI Biologics) in their Innovation team developing new human allograft technology.
His educational background is in Chemical and Industrial processes, with a focus on their energy and material impacts.
