Dr. Ji Chen is a manager at RMI. He has been working in the field of energy and climate change for more than 10 years. Before joining RMI, he worked in the Centre for Alternative Technology (UK), Centre for China Industrial Energy Efficiency, Climate Change Department of National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), and National Centre for Climate Change Strategy and International Cooperation (NCSC).
Dr. Chen is a senior member of Chinese Delegation for UNFCCC negotiation, and participated in the Paris Agreement negotiation. He was a member of Advisory Board of Climate Technology Centre and Network (CTCN), senior advisor of China member of Green Climate Fund (GCF) board and director of project management office of GEF/World Bank China Climate Technology Needs Assessment project. Dr. Chen participated in drafting China’s Intended Nationally Determined Contribution (INDC), 13th Five-Year Plan for Controlling Greenhouse Gas Emission and China’s first Biannual Update Report to UNFCCC. He had lead and participated in numerous consulting and research projects.
